Elon-Zelma Dailey Hodge, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Hospice home surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Loudon, Tennessee and was the wife of the late Marion T. Hodge.
Zelma worked for many years with Burlington Mills in Virginia. She was a founding member of Chilhowie Baptist Church in Chilhowie, Virginia. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Terry Buckley of Elon; granddaughter, Tera Coulter of Glade Springs, VA and a grandson, Jamie Osborne of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; sister, Lucille Black of Loudon, TN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, grandson, P.J. Buckley and her parents, Arlie James and Mae Jenkins Dailey.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on noon Wednesday, June 29th at Grosses Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Chilhowie, VA.
