Yvonne Garner

Burlington Yvonne Degail Toombs Garner, 51, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at her home. She was born in Rockingham County on February 5, 1965 to the late Gerald AveretteToombs, Sr. and Judy Carol Harbour Toombs who survives and was the wife of 34 years to James Howard Garner of the home. Yvonne is also survived by her daughter, Heather Toombs; son, James Howard Garner, Jr.; brothers, Gerald Averette Toombs, Jr and wife Tracy, Ricky Daryl Wilson; sister, Angela Toombs Ledford and husband Darryl and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Gerald A. Toombs, Sr. and a brother, Nicholas Mickey Oliver Wilson, Jr. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Doug Durham and Rev. Ronnie Brown. The family will receive friends from 7-9PM on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at 262 Christopher Dr. in Burlington.
