Yang “Nina” Wagner, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 3, 2025. She was born on May 10, 1936, in Pusan, South Korea and was married to Robert Jackson Wagner, Jr., the love of her life, for 45 years. She worked in the textile industry for a short time but was primarily a homemaker as taking care of her family was her priority. She was a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church.
Nina brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Her great sense of humor and funny personality always left friends and family with a smile. Throughout the years, Nina loved playing various games such as Bingo and Yahtzee, as she enjoyed friendly competition at any gathering. Her sweet spirit and loving nature as a mother and grandmother were evident in her passion for cooking, particularly Korean dishes, highlighting the love for family and creating countless cherished memories around the dinner table. Nina loved traveling with her husband and their friends to places like Gatlinburg and Branson to watch various music shows and fellowship with friends. As a resident of the Twin Lakes Community, Nina will be deeply missed and remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of everyone she met.
Nina is survived by her children, Joann Taylor and her husband Brett, and Steven Wagner, and her grandchildren, Trey Kellis and Spenser Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jackson Wagner, Jr.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 from 2-3 PM in the Coble Family Room at Coble Creek Healthcare Building of Twin Lakes, followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at 3PM in the May Foley Chapel. A private interment will be held at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at various times at the home of her daughter, Joann Taylor.
The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Lisa Hensley and the staff at Twin Lakes Community for the exceptional care and love they have shown to Nina. She loved each one of you so much.
