Mr. Worth Odell Shaw, Jr., age 63, of 200 Rainey St., died on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Hospice Home after several months of failing health. Born in Randolph County, he was the son of Worth Odell Shaw, Sr. and Mrs. Sarah Boswell Shaw, who both survive and was married for over 39 years to Mrs. Peggy June Beck Shaw, who survives. Odell was a veteran of the U. S Army, was employed with Pro Feet, Inc. for over 2 years and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Shaw is survived by his wife of the home; his parents of Asheboro; four daughters, Rhonda Phillips and her husband, Darryl, of Burlington, Crystal Coleman and her husband, Nate, of Elon, Tracy McDowell and her husband, Lynwood, of Burlington and Elizabeth Vaught and her husband, Creighton, of Augusta, GA; eight grandchildren, Stephen Boswell, Kevin Boswell, Kristina Boswell, Cassidy Coleman, Brittany Phillips, Peyton McDowell, Ella Vaught and Breighley Vaught; a step grandchild, Brandon Phillips; a sister, Anna Fallon of Greensboro; and two brothers, Carson Shaw and Dennis Shaw, both of Asheboro. The family will be conducting a private gathering at a later date.
