Mr. Wilton R. "Pat" Pattishall, age 82, of Elon, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at his home after a brief illness. Pat was a native of Alamance County and was the son of the late William Thomas Pattishall and the late Bessie Vinson Pattishall and was married to Barbara Vaughan Montgomery Pattishall, who survives. He was a U.S. Army Veteran that served during the Korean War, was a longtime member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and a very active member of the Lion's Club. Pat was employed with the Industries for the Blind for many years before retiring with the Vocational Trades of Alamance County. Mr. Pattishall is survived by his wife of the home; four daughters, Terry Pattishall of Gibsonville, Robin Felts of Burlington, Jamie Baldwin and her husband, Steve, of Elon and Dawn Lane of Burlington; four step daughters, Donna Weatherspoon and husband, Pat, Vicki Brown and husband, Mike, Terry Dixon and husband, Rodney, and Wendy Ferrell, all of Burlington; fourteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a brother, Dr. Frank Pattishall of Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy Rogers Pattishall; his parents; and a sister, Frances Coleman. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. William Gibson. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:45 Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
