Wilma Heath

Wilma Lea Heath, 56, passed away Sunday April 12, 2015 at Rex Medical Center after a short illness. She was born December 19, 1958 in Alamance County. She was the daughter of Velma and Carlton Cates. She was a homemaker who was a true artist that enjoyed gardening, sewing and many other activities. She loved all types of animals. She is survived by her daughter Jessica Heath of Roxboro; sons, Joseph Melissa Heath of Sanford, Wesley Kawano of the home; mother, Velma Warren Carlton Cates of Burlington; life partner Ryan Kawano of the home; sisters, Cindy Hinshaw of Mebane, Patrice Gene Lamm of Bunn, Carla Johnson of Graham and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Darrell Bennett. The service to celebrate her life will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. James Black. The family will receive friends 2-2:45 PM prior to the service.
