William "Willie" Cruz Burgos

William “Willie” Cruz Burgos, 78, passed away suddenly on Thursday April 4, 2024 at his home. He was born on January 5, 1946 in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico to the late Guillermo Cruz Hurtado and Carmen Burgos Rodriguez, and was the husband of 44 years to Maria Evelyn Hernandez Cruz of the home.

William retired after 40 years with Pass & Seymour Legrand. He attended Iglesia Cristiana Trinty en Español, where he enjoyed listening to the music and singing at church. William was “set in his way” when it came to certain things, like coming inside when the weather was really hot. He just enjoyed being outdoors, playing baseball, watching old westerns, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Survivors other than his wife, Maria Cruz include his children, Betsy Salinas and husband Angel, Daniel Cruz, Elizabeth Cruz, Debbie Cruz and husband Elias, Adrian Cruz and wife Ghislaine Charbonier; grandchildren, Moses Salinas, Damaris Graves-Cruz, Judah Graves, Aramia Graves-Cruz, Adrialys V., Christopher A., Anthony D., Adriana, Loraine and Ron U.; a brother, Ruperto Cruz Burgos; and several nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

The graveside service will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Magnolia Cemetery by Pastor Juan C. Vazquez. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:30pm Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory prior to the service and other times at the home.
