William White

Mr. William Glenn White, age 73, of Burlington, went to join his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at his home after a sudden illness. Born in Surry County, he was the son of the late William Elguy White and the late Alene Yarborough White. He retired from the City of Burlington Tax Department and later worked in construction. His hobby was acquiring antiques and collectable furniture and he was of the Baptist faith. Mr. White is survived by his daughter, Tina White of Jacksonville, FL; three brothers, Ronald Lee White and his wife, Elaine, of Burlington, Harold White and his wife, Lisa, of McLeansville and Garrette White of Burlington; five nieces and nephews; and a special neighbor, Hazel Bowes. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, William Todd White. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Ricky Lewis. The family will receive friends from 11:30 12:30 Tuesday morning prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of his brother, Ronald White, 1412 Cherry Dr., Burlington.
