William Walters

Swepsonville, NC Walters, William C. Buck, age 60, of Knoxville formerly of Swepsonville, North Carolina, passed away Friday evening, March 4, 2011 after a brief battle with cancer. Buck was a member of Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church. He was a member and treasurer of the Karns Lions Club. Buck was a human resource/accountant with Dairy Farmers of America. He was an avid golfer, and basketball fan of U T and Duke Universities. Buck was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Walters and Pauline Walters Rogers. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sue Wilson Walters; daughters, Donna Walters of Louisiana, Amy Walters Massengill and husband, Brian of Knoxville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Darlene and Harold Clements of Creedmoor, NC and Vickie and Tommy Coble of Graham, NC; brothers, Melvin Walters of Graham, NC, Gary Walters of California, Terry Walters of Fredericksburg, VA; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Pam Walters of Graham, NC; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory in Burlington, NC. The Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2011at 11 a.m. at Concord United Methodist Church in Eli Whitney NC with Rev. David King and Rev. David Morton officiating. The Walters family will be staying at the home of Tommy and Vickie Coble, 4357 East Greensboro Chapel Hill Road, Eli Whitney, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Buck was able to give the gift of sight through organ donation.
