William Troxler

William Steve Troxler, age 62, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Embrace Hospice House of Myrtle Beach, S.C. surrounded by his family. Born on April 2, 1955, Steve was a native of Alamance County where he graduated from Western Alamance High School. He then went on to ACC where he earned an Associate's Degree. Steve was employed at General Electric for 37 years before he retired. During his years at General Electric, Steve worked in the lab, set up coordination in the Plastics Department, became a Team Leader in the Fabrication Shop, collected and built metal boxes in the Box Cell Area and his last position before retiring was in the Marketing Department handling Customer Service and Ordering.
Steve was a beloved Son, Father, Brother, Uncle and Pawpaw. He enjoyed gardening, fishing,
spending time at the beach, camping in his RV and most of all, truly loved spending time with
his Granddaughter. Survivors include his Mother, Dolly Troxler of Elon; Daughter Kelly Mathews
of North Myrtle Beach, S.C, her husband Scott and their daughter Amelia; Son, Wesley Troxler of Burlington; Brother, Gary Troxler and his wife, Sheri of Elon; Niece, Sarah Troxler of Elon, her husband Tyler and their daughter Skylar; Niece, Jenny Troxler of Boone. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Troxler. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 3:00p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home in Burlington, N.C., followed by a celebration of his life at 4:00pm.
