William Nicks "Billy" Rogers, 82, went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Hospice Home. Mr. Rogers was born August 23, 1927 in Orange County to the late R.S. Rogers and Leola Person Rogers. Billy retired from Alamance Knit Fabrics and Carolina Biological. He was a very faithful member of the Lowe Memorial Baptist Church where he was the minister of music and church organist for over 51 years and he served his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Rogers was a kind and gentle man that showed the love of Christ to all people that he came in contact with. He was a loving and faithful husband, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend and he will be missed. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Louise Sipe Rogers of Burlington; brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Clara Sipe; special caregivers and nieces, Carolyn Powell of Elon, Ann King and her husband, Marlie of Mebane, Bobbie and her husband, Bud of Mebane; a special nephew, John and his wife Ann Rogers of Liberty; many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends. A Celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2010 at Lowe Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Gindlesperger officiating. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials can be made to the Lowe Memorial Baptist Church 1712 W.
