William Rascoe

William Arthur Rascoe, 99 formerly of Rascoe Dameron Rd. passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at White Oak Manor. He was the husband of the late Marnie Walker Rascoe and was born April 22, 1909 in Caswell County to the late Charles Arthur and Annie Davis Rascoe. He retired from Wakenhut Security after 20 years of service, served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Kinnett Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughters, Sandra Rich and her husband Tex, Weeden Long and her husband Harry, Karen Robertson and her husband Jack all of Burlington, a son Alvin Rascoe and his wife Debbie of Elon, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a daughter Iris Holt, sisters, Bessie Mae Harasyko and Annie Lee Rascoe. There will be a graveside service 11:00 AM Thursday at Bethel Christian Church by Rev. Don Pegg and Rev. Marvin Simpson. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the home of Sandra Rich, 203 Rascoe Dameron Rd.
