William Partlow, Jr.

William Edward Partlow, Jr., age 57, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the VA Medical Center in Durham, NC. He was a native of Charleston, South Carolina and the husband of Stephanie Goddard Partlow who survives. William had worked in the past for UNC Hospitals and he was a US Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate, with honors, from the Guilford Technical Community College with a degree in Paralegal Studies. He was a member of Children's Chapel United Church of Christ and an avid musician and guitarist. William was a member of the Carrboro Masonic Lodge and he enjoyed the outdoors, especially working in his yard. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Goddard Partlow of the home; parents William Edward Partlow, Sr. Olivet of Charlotte, NC, and Audrey Frazier Partlow of Charleston, SC; brother, Herbert Frazier Partlow of Charleston, SC, sons, Jonathan Russell Partlow of Lafayette, Louisiana and William Edward Partlow, III of Washington, DC; daughter, Kia Wallace of Hillsborough, NC; grandchildren, Jonathan Russell Partlow, Jr., Victoria Partlow and Jacob Partlow; step sons, Timothy Goddard Renee and Ryan Harris both of Philadelphia; step grandchildren, Mahogany Rorie, Jalen Goddard, Cameron Sean Goddard, Maurice Jerome Harris and Imod Harris; and a host of other family members. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Children's Chapel United Church of Christ located in Graham, NC by Rev. Rodney K. Foxx. US Naval Honors will be rendered at the conclusion of the memorial service. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of the arrangements
