William Oakley, Sr.

Burlington, NC William Henry Oakley, Sr., age 93, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at White Oak Manor. He was a native of Caswell County and the husband of the late Mary Kimbro Oakley. Henry retired from Payne Oil Company and was a member of Beverly Hills United Church of Christ. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, William H. Oakley, Jr. and his wife, Sandra of Sunset Beach, NC and Larry Oakley and his wife, Sharron of Burlington; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sister, Pearl Miles of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, William Franklin and Minnie Tate Oakley; sisters, Mary Bett Nicks and Leona Miles; brother, Johnny Oakley. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Rosser L. Clapp and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Jack and Laurie Gaddy, 2840 Blanche Drive, Burlington,NC.
