William Moffett

Burlington-William Jack Moffett, 90 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2018. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Ezell Alexander and Laura Maude Loveday Moffett. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Faye Durham Moffett.
Jack retired from Western Electric/AT&T/ Lucent after 37 years as an electrical engineer. He was a US Army veteran entering service at the end of WW II during peacetime. Jack was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, church clerk and in various other capacities . He was a faithful husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Durham Moffett of the home; daughter, Teal Adams and husband, Jay of Burlington and a son, Dr. Joel Moffett and wife, Cathy of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Jason (Meagan) Moffett, Allison (Eric) Vidana, Luke (Amanda) Moffett and James Adams, great grandchildren, Langston and Whitson Vidana and Avery Moffett. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Ruth Ray, Ruby Pratt and Vetrice Jackson.
A private cryptside service will be held at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the home and the body will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory during the day on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
