William Meloy

Burlington, NC William "Bill" Taylor Meloy, age 85, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012 in Cambridge, Ohio. He was a native of Zanesville, Ohio. He was the husband of the late Marjorie Parrish Meloy. Bill retired from Wilkie Air Conditioning and was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in WW II with the Occupational Forces in Europe and a graduate of the University of Ohio. Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Cornetto and her husband, Jonathan of Burlington and Stephanie Haney and her companion, Jason Lednum of Ramseur; granddaughters, Mikaela Mock and Samantha Mock; best friend, Michael Mock and his companion, Lisa Solomon of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, William Thane Meloy and Helen Smith Meloy and a sister, Marilyn Stephens. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at 4:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Larry Redding with military honors provided by the 82nd Airborne Division.
