William Kalbfleisch

William Richard Dick Kalbfleisch, 73, of 1233 Westview Terrace passed away Thursday at Lexington Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Sharon Stout Kalbfleisch. Dick was born in Aiken, SC to the late John Henry and Polly Rice Kalbfleisch. He served as an Airborne Ranger in the US Army and retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company in Greensboro. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. Dick was also a member of Tobasco Lodge # 271 A.F.&A.M. He is survived by his wife of the home, a daughter Angela Gregory of Berlin, NH, a granddaughter Heather Gregory Ashby and her husband Matt of High Point, Grandsons; Joshua Minor and Christopher Minor both of Durham, a great grandson Austin Matthew Ashby, a sister Linda Dillon of ME. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Henriella New The memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Westminster Presbyterian Church by Rev. Powell Sykes. The family will receive friends from 1:00 1:45 PM prior to the service and at other times at the home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Ala. Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or Barium Springs Home for Children, PO Box 1, Barium Springs, NC 28010-9989. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. is serving the family.
