William Jones, Jr.

Mr. William Bryant "Boney" Jones, Jr., age 73, of Burlington, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at his home after a brief illness.
A native of Alamance County he was the son of the late William B. Jones, Sr. and the late Iola Boggs Jones and was married for over 52 years to Mrs. Diane Louise Johnson Jones, who passed in 2017. Boney was retired from United Sprinkler after many years of service and was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Jones is survived by his son, William B. Jones III and his wife, Thressie, of Yanceyville; three grandchildren, Stephanie Williams and her husband, Kyle, Scott Jones and William Jones; and two great grandchildren, Hunter Williams and Madison Williams. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a daughter, Patricia Jones; two sisters, Joan Barker and Sue Payne; and two brothers, Alan Jones and Jimmy Jones.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Brother Carl Mullins. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 PM Friday evening.
