Graham-William "Bill" Thomas James, Jr, age 58 went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Hospice Home. He was a native of Lancashire, England and was the husband of Candy Feaster James who survives. Bill retired from Permatech and was a former EMT with Alamance County. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Vietnam War. Bill was an avid reader, a Carolina fan and an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding 4-wheelers. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and son. Survivors include his wife of the home; daughters, Amanda Basham and husband, Keith of Altamahaw, Samantha Matkins and husband, Thad of Gibsonville and Christina James of Graham; grandchildren, Kayleigh Basham, Annabelle Matkins and Camden Matkins; his mother, Shirley Bryan James of Gibsonville and sisters, Joyce Hargrove of Myrtle Beach and Lora Powers of Haw River; brother, John "Buggs" James and wife, Regina of Julian. He was preceded in death by his father, William Thomas James, Sr. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 4:00pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Craig Cox. The family will receive friends from 2:45pm until 3:45pm prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
