Mebane, NC-William Worth Ivey, 93, died on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the hospice Home after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Edith, of 36 years and her children, Katherine D. Nail of Greensboro and Steven A. Dailey of Burlington and a brother, Coy Mac Ivey of Greensboro. Worth was a dairyman and breeder of Registered Holsteins for 70 plus years and he held various offices in local area DHIA organizations. Many knew him for his love of big band music and dancing. He was a faithful member of Burlington Christian Church. The family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude to his Burlington YMCA friends, his wonderful sitters and Hospice of Alamance-Caswell. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Burlington Christian Church by Pastor Creighton Beatty with the family receiving friends from 1-1:45 pm prior to the service at the church.
