Burlington William Bill Glenn Ingle, 87, of 410 Wildwood Lane died at his residence on Saturday, April 15, 2006. He was born in Stanley County, son of the late Edward T. and Pearl Pennington Ingle, and was married to Vera Self Ingle, who survives, for 62 years. Bill was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a firefighter with the City of Burlington, retiring as assistant cheif after 32 years of service. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church of Elon, where he sang in the choir and was a member of the Mens Bible Class. Bill known to his grandchildren as Paw Paw passed his love for hunting fishing down to his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of the home, daughter, Sharon Self of Locust; three grandchildren, Telly Wade Sexton and his wife, Jennifer, of Sophia, NC, Adrian Aaron Sexton and his wife, Sonya, of Indian Trail, NC, and Jade Sexton Thomas, of Monroe, NC; great grandchildren, Alex Christopher Thomas, Skylar Grace Sexton, and two great grandbabies being born later this year; son, Dexter Renshaw and wife, Ronna, of Claton, GA; half-sister, Sybil Ingle of Gibsonville; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 18, 2006 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Terry Huffines and Mr. Charlie Pyles. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetey. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:45 prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the residence. A special thanks to his caregiver Karen Patterson for all she has done during the time of his illiness.
