William Hodges

Gibsonville - William Ray Hodges, 56, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Martinsville, VA on September 21, 1960 to the late William "Charlie" and Charlotte Edna Hankins Hodges and was the husband of 38 years to Elva Meeks Hodges of the home.
Ray enjoyed working on cars and landscaping but spent most of his time loving on his children and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Elva; sons, Jason W. Hodges, Chris Hodges, William Hodges and wife, Alissa; grandchildren, Billy Hodges, Brent Hodges, Lee Hodges; brothers, Junior Hodges, Jeffrey Hodges and wife, Ora; sisters, Darlene Broughman, Bonnie Walker, Tammy Elbert and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Fitzgerald and brothers, Roy and Larry Hodges.
A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00pm on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by his nephew, JC Hodges. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the home.
