William "Bill" Taylor Frazier, age 91 went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 19, 2014 at his home. He was a native of Rockingham County and the husband of 67 years to Matilda "Tillie" Oliver Frazier who survives. William retired after 31 years with Western Electric and was a US Army veteran of WW II receiving a purple heart in combat. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at the beach house in Morehead City. William loved fishing, farming, watching things grow in his garden and cooking. His family will miss his delicious vegetable soup. Survivors include his wife of the home; daughters, Linda F. Overman and Rhonda F. Young both of Burlington; son, Steve Frazier and his wife, Debbie of Graham; grandchildren, Brandon Young, Barrett Overman and wife, Tiffany, Brent Young and wife, Cathy, Joni Overman, Stephanie Isley and husband, John and Lindsay Murray and husband, Jay; great grandchildren, Bridget Young, Bodhi Isley, Hunter Frazier, Marina Isley and Aubrie Overman; sisters, Lois F. Moore of Mebane and Frances F. Ross and husband, Charles of Graham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Andrew and Ema Terrell Frazier; sisters, Ruth F. Jones, Edna F. Carter and Nancy F. Koski; brothers, Lawrence and David Frazier; son-in-law, Gary N. Young. The family wishes to thank Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell for their love and care over the past 2 months and especially Tammy, Curtis and Emily. Also the family would like to thank his physician, Dr. David Fitzgerald for his care and concern for William. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11:00 am at Graham Memorial Park with military honors provided by the US Army. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
