William Creed

William Ernest Creed, 92, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born in Elkhorn, WV and was the son of the late William Walter Creed and Pearl Williams Creed. He was married for 69 years to Ernestine Peake Creed who died in 2015.
He was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church and the Reliable Sunday school class. Ernest was a former member and Past Master of the Bula Lodge and was Past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his son, Robert W. "Bob" Creed and his wife Mary of Durham, and several cousins and nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 22, 2017 at Grove Park Baptist Church by Rev. David Morton and Dr. Gene Hunsinger with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 AM Friday prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grove Park Baptist Church, 108 Trail One, Burlington, NC 27215.
