William "Bill" Wilson Mitchell, Sr.

William Wilson “Bill” Mitchell, Sr., 92, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the Hospice Home.   A native of Alamance County he was the son of the late, William Wilson Dewberry and Nellie Louise Cates Coley and was married for over 61 years to Nova Pearl Boswell Mitchell who passed away in 2012.  

Bill was a member of Graham Presbyterian church for many years.  He retired from Burlington Industries as on office manager after 35 years and was a former math teacher at Walter Wiliams High School.  

Bill is survived by his sons; William “Bill” Mitchell, Jr. and spouse PJ Parker and Michael Stephen “Steve” Mitchell and his spouse Debbie.   A granddaughter; Brandy Marcum and husband; John and his beloved Siamese cat; Misha.  He was preceded in death by his wife; Nova Pearl Mitchell, parents; William Wilson Dewberry and Nellie Louise Cates Coley and a sister; Betty Fogleman.  

There will be a private graveside service for Bill at Graham Memorial Park at a later date.
