Willia Mae "Janelle" Foster, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Willia was born June 26, 1936, met the love of her life, Ivan Ned Foster, whom she married in 1958, and raised three children Susan, Bill, and Sally. Willia worked in hosiery most of her life until she retired. She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls, watching gospel preaching and singing, NASCAR, and cooking shows, and spending time with her loved ones. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very deeply and glowed when she was with them. There was never a holiday in which she did not decorate her home and give little gifts to everyone. Willia will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Dimer Hornaday, siblings, William 'Bug' Hornaday, Robert Lee Hornaday Sr., and Juanita Davis, and daughter Susan Woodard. Willia is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Ivan Ned Foster, of the home; children, Bill Foster (Terri) and Sally Hayden (Robert), of Liberty, siblings Wayne Hornaday of Greensboro, and Judy Crider (Arthur) of Browns Summit, six grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00am on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9:45-10:45 prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home. You may send your condolences to www.lowefuneralhome.com.
