Wilhelmine Russ

Wilhelmine Minni Luehr Russ, age 103, of Crestwood Drive went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Forest View Rehabilitation in Durham. She was born in Germany to the late Heinrich Luehr and Anna Deichman Luehr. Minni was a homemaker and a member of Grove Park Baptist Church. She loved life and devoted herself to her family. She always saw the beauty in life and was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Survivors include her daughter, Rosemarie Goslen of Burlington; son and daughter-in-law, Helge Russ and his wife, Christa of Switzerland; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Maria Russ of Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hans Russ; son, Hans-Joerg Russ; two brothers and one sister. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Eugene Hunsinger and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:45 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of the daughter.
