Warren Clay Cloer, 92, of Snow Camp, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro on March 6, 2025. He was born on July 11, 1932, to the late William Lawrence Cloer and Ola Mae Bradshaw.

A man of many talents, Warren held two Master’s degrees and a Doctorate degree. After serving 4 years in the United States Air Force, he remained in the reserves and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before his retirement.

He enjoyed anything related to music, serving as choir director in several churches over the years and playing on local radio stations. An interest in anything related to aviation led to acquiring his private pilot license and owning a small plane for a few years. Gardening and raising beef cows were also favorite pastimes.

Warren is survived by his son, Lee Cloer and wife Amy; grandchildren, Cassidy Cloer Lawrence (Patrick), Austin Cloer (Makayla), and Mackenzie Cloer; great grandson, Weston Cloer; sisters, Celeste Christy and Becky Adkins; sister-in-law, Wilanita Cloer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dianne Lee Scholle Cloer, sister, Mildred Eaker and brother, Ned Cloer.

A memorial service to celebrate Warren’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 16 at South Fork Friends Church with Pastor Daniel Thames officiating.
