Wanda Thomas

Burlington - Wanda "Colleen" Reavis Thomas, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from the Hospice Home, she was surrounded by her family. Colleen was born on May 27, 1932 in Davidson County to the late Ralph Thomas and Tula Simpson Reavis.

She was a member of Christian Bible Fellowship, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, James Thomas; daughters, Donna Thomas Balsinger, Debbie Thomas Powell, and Jerri Thomas Hunt all of Burlington; sons, Fred Thomas and wife Catherine of Gibsonville and Darrell Thomas of Burlington; grandchildren, Chris Dickerson, Kevin Dickerson, Ashleigh Thomas Eisch, Heather Thomas Slott, Jordan Hunt and Hayley Hunt; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Curtis, Linda Wolfe (David), and Barbara Wall all of Burlington and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill and Bobby Reavis and a sister, Mary Llewellyn Nelson.

The funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Christian Bible Fellowship with Pastor Bruce Readling officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45pm on Wednesday at the church prior to the service. The interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215. Lowe Funeral Home is serving the Thomas family.
