Waltzie Hicks, Jr.

Waltzie Leroy Hicks, Jr., 48, passed away Sunday, July 15th at the Hospice Home. He was born June 6, 1970 in Alamance County to Waltzie Hicks, Sr. and the late Kay Hill Hicks. Waltzie was a tree trimmer and liked being outside. He enjoyed breeding and raising dogs. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Brittany Loyd and husband John, Danielle Inskip, Carmen Ashby; grandchildren, Kayden Baker, Christopher Baker, Jr., Jordan Baker, Mackenzye Hicks; father Waltzie Hicks, Sr.; sisters Cheryl Scott and Wendy Poole. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kay H. Hicks; brothers Donald Hicks, Del Hicks; sisters Abbey Lynch, Shirley Hicks and Lee Hicks.
There will be a celebration of his life 2:00 PM Saturday, July 21st at Faith Baptist Church, 2223 Pinecroft Rd. Burlington by Rev. Dwight Dameron.
The family will receive friends following the service.
