Walter Eure

Burlington-Walter Lawrence Eure, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 9, 2018. He was born in Gates County to the late Walter Lawrence and Maud Sawyer Eure. He is survived by his wife, Jane Turkett Hairston.
Walter retired from AT & T as an executive administrator after 38 years. He was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church. Walter served during WW II in the European Theatre as a lieutenant in US Navy.
Survivors include his wife of the home; daughters, Barbara Heald and husband, David of Florida and Joyce Smith and husband, Michael of Virginia, grandchildren, Matt (Nicole) Henry, Gregory (Sandi) Heald and Kristen Heald; great grandchildren, Thomas, Luke, Lilly and Liv Heald..
A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Eure Family Cemetery in Gates, NC.
