Vonnie Fowler

Mrs. Voncile “Vonnie” Fowler, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024 at the Hospice Home of Alamance County.

 Voncile was born on January 4, 1939 to Oren Shepherd and Jessie Stewart Shepherd. Voncile is survived by her loving husband Lewis “Toots” Fowler of 61 years; her daughters, Susan L. Fowler, Beth F. Stewart and her husband, Raymond and Catherine Davis and her husband, Shane; granddaughter, Taylor D. Meehan and her husband, Connor; grandson, Drew Davis and his girlfriend, Taylor Britt; granddaughter, Karson Stewart and a great grandson, Hudson Davis; her sister, Gerelda S. Holt along with many nieces, nephews and many other loving family members.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Clancey Babb and Gerry Bass and her beloved canine companion, “Gracie”.

 Vonnie attended Graham High School and she retired from W.E. Love & Associates. She was a member of First Christian United Church of Christ and the Light Born Circle. Her greatest loves were her three daughters; grandchildren and her husband, “Tootsie”. She had a huge passion for her doggies. You could often find her admiring her flower gardens or shopping online with QVC.

 Mom loved all types of music from Tom Jones to Bruno Mars and she could out dance the best of them. She lit up every room she entered with her sweet smile and her heart was as pure gold.

 A service to celebrate her life will be held at 4:00PM on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jamie Fonville.  The family will receive friends from 2:45-3:45PM prior to the service and other times at the home.

 In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Authoracare Collective Hospice Home, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or the Alzheimer’s Association.
