Virginia Younger

Virginia Coltren Younger, 90, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Hospice Home after two weeks of failing health. She was born in Sampson County to the late Percy Raymond Coltren and the late Maggie Boone Coltren and was married to the late Herman Warren Younger. Virginia was a homemaker, a member of Gibsonville Evangelical Methodist Church, former Sunday School Teacher and a devout Christian. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Hermie and Bobby Ball of Dudley, NC, Jennifer and Randal Clapp of Greensboro; sons and daughters-in-law: Jeff and Edith Younger, Steve and Nancy Younger all of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Bobby Ball, Jr., Kim Huffines, Katelyn Clapp, Megan Peele, Stephen Ray Younger, Jr.; step grandson: Michael McIntyre; 5 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Irene Moore and brothers, Thomas and Paul Coltren. The funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 28, 2014 at Gibsonville Evangelical Methodist Church by Rev. Paul Speagle. Burial will follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm Sunday afternoon at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the son, Jeff Younger's home.
