Virginia Underwood

Burlington Virginia Beatrice Rose Underwood, of 3055 Rocky Cliff Trail went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Wyoming County she was the daughter of the late Walter Washington and Sara Melisa Rice Rose and the wife of the late James Howard Underwood. A member of West Burlington Church of God. She was a devoted loving mother who enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family. She is survived by her daughter Kathryn Schaudenecker, step daughters, Janet Hawkins, Sandra McDaniel and Vicki Torress, grandchildren, Duane Grubb, Alisa Egan, Bella Alexander, and Kathey Joe Pickard, Ronald Wood, Julie Harrah, eight great grandchildren, Justin, Willie, Samantha, Alex, Zachery, Shane, Sarah, and Heather, one brother, Howard Lee Rose. She was preceded in death by her son, Garland Wayne Grubb, husband, parents, and grandson, Doug Wood. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, December 21, 2007 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Olin Tatum and entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home.
