Virginia King

Burlington, NC Virginia Urquhart King, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Duke University Medical Center. She was a native of Durham County and the wife of 39 years to Joseph Robert "Bob" King who survives. Virginia worked with several real estate agencies during her career. She worked for the past nine years at Granddaddy's Antique Mall. Virginia was a member of Northside Presbyterian Church and a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Robert "Bob" King of the home; daughter, Brenda King of Newport, NC and a son, James G. Baker and his wife, Lisa of Kernersville; grandchildren, Stephanie Baker, Melissa Baker and Kendra King; step grandchildren, Karen Greg McGann and Leslie Jason Haizlip; step great grandchildren, Kyle Haizlip, Chyenne Haizlip and Tala McGann. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Boone Urquhart and Myra Frances Kenyon Urquhart and a son, Bryan Phillip Baker. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 11:00 am at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by George Nall.
