Virginia Goodson

Yanceyville JENNY GOODSON Virginia Florence "Jenny" Goodson, age 70, of 1404 Staley Boswell Rd., passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011 in Knoxville, TN. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Richard Lee Goodson and daughter of the late Frank and Hazel Eudy Florence. She was a member of Concord Christian Church, the Ladies Fellowship and was a Deaconess of the church. She was secretary of R. L. Goodson Construction Co., a former nurses aid at Alamance County Hospital and secretary of the Carolina Ramblers RV Club. Survivors include her husband, Richard Lee Goodson of the home; daughter, Annette Barker and husband Sid of Yanceyville; grandchildren, Edward Lee Whitman, Kristiina Rene Whitman and a step grandchild, Kimberly Lynn Jernigan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 15, 2011 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jerry Moore and Rev. Keith Murray. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Elon. Mrs. Goodson will remain at Lowe Funeral Home through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6-8pm Friday and other times at the home.
