Mary Virginia Ellington Allred Frazier, 87, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the Homeplace. She was born September 8, 1928 in Danville, VA to the late Frederick and Thelma Crews Ellington. She was married to the late William C. Allred and then the late Kenneth G. Frazier. She was a member of Holly Hill Baptist Church. Mary had retired from Tower Hosiery Mill and worked part time at Tuesday Morning. She was a skilled seamstress who loved to sew using her talents for gifts for others. She supported missions through her women's group at church always doing for others especially with sweet treats. Even though she had no children of her own she loved and was loved by her nieces, nephews and step children and was affectionately known as Aunt Ginny. Survivors include her step children, Teresa Allen, Cindy Priddy, Greg Frazier; four step grandchildren; one step great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; a sister Carlene Amick; brothers, Merion Ellington and Maynard Ellington. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Monday, September 21, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1:00 -1:45 PM Monday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. prior to the service. The family would like to say a special thank you to Bonnie Thompson and the staff of Homeplace for their care of Mrs. Frazier.
