Virginia Durham

Raleigh - Virginia Davis Durham, 70, passed away at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill on Saturday, May 13, 2017 following a sudden illness. She was born in Alamance County on May 8, 1947 to the late Al Ralph and Alma Dillard Davis and was the wife of 45 years to David Michael Durham of the home.
Virginia was a North Carolina Certified Professional floral designer and former owner of Forest Hills Florist in Garner. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of the home; daughter, Rebecca Barrett and husband Douglas; two grandchildren, Hannah Barrett and Jack Barrett; sisters, Hazel Shepherd, Judy Davis, Brenda Davis and Linda George; two brothers, Roger Davis and Ralph Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leroy, Jimmy, Ricky, Gerald and Bobby Davis and a stepson, Michael Durham.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm-1:45pm prior to the service on Tuesday.
