Virginia Brumfield

Burlington, NC Virginia "Jennie" Elizabeth Brumfield formerly of Barham Street passed away on Monday, December 22, 2008 at the Hospice Home. She was a native of Pittsylvania County, Virginia and the daughter of the late Ellis G . and Annie Laurie Perkins Brumfield. Virginia was of the Baptist faith and she was a self-employed Cosmetologist for 35 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Burlington Pilot Club and a volunteer with the hospital auxiliary of the former Memorial Hospital and later with Alamance Regional Medical Center. Survivors include her brother, Frank J. Brumfield of Burlington and two nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, James E. Pharr and sisters, Ada Jarrett and Lessie Walters. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 26, 2008 at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Walter Jones and burial will be at a later date in Altamahaw Baptist Church Cemetery. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
