Virginia Brinkley

Virginia Elizabeth Lewis Brinkley, 62, 111 Maple Ave Apt. 704 passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Brinkley was born April 6, 1945 in Craven, County to the late Jessie and Ella Suggs Lewis. Mrs. Brinkley was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother that lived her life to the fullest. She was a lover of music, dressing up, and was a devoted member of her church Called Out Worship Center. Survivors include three children, Carrie Fogleman and her husband Chris of Burlington, Mary R. Townsend of Vanceboro, NC, and Johnny Fillingame and wife Angela of Valdosta, Ga; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Catherine Pope of New Bern, NC. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Called Out Worship Center on Hwy 49 in Burlington by Rev. Rick Cox. A visitation will follow the service at the church.
