Vickie Mae Price Compton

Burlington – Vickie Mae Price Compton, 63, passed away at her home on Friday, June 17, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on August 30, 1958 in Orange County to the late Joseph Harold Price, Sr. and Clara May Price, and was married for over 46 years to Donald Compton, Sr. who survives. 

Vickie was a member of Grace Baptist church, where she served as a trustee for many years.  She was a CNA for many years, working in nursing homes as well as being a home health nurse.  She was passionate about helping people and her work allowed her to do just that.  She was a homebody and enjoyed her life on the farm.  She was also gifted at sewing and knitting.

She is survived by her husband Donald Wayne Compton, Sr.; son, Donald Wayne Compton, Jr. (Jessica Terry); daughter, Jamie Lea Compton Bunting (Brian); grandchildren, Brianna Mann, Jayden Mitchell, Victoria Compton, Cody Compton and Deacon Perkins; siblings, Betty Lambert, Billy Price, Samuel Price and Richard Price. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Clara Price; siblings, Harold Lee Price and Joseph Harold Price, Jr.

The funeral services will be held at 3:00 on Saturday, June 25, 2022 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel  by Pastor John Cruz with the burial to follow at Grace Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
