Graham-Vickie Bates Ellington, 56 went to her eternal home on Saturday, November 19, 2016. She was the wife of 37 years to Fred Allen Ellington who survives.
Vickie was a member of the Burlington Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a confederate reenactor and participated for several years in the "Battle of Zachary Hill" with the Charles F. Fisher SCV Camp. She was known as "Momz" to many because of her love for children.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Allen Ellington of the home; sons, Joshua Ellington and Bee Derr of Graham, Elias (Samantha) Ellington of Graham and John Ellington and Laura Corn of Rapid City, Iowa; grandson, Dylan Shultz; sister, Tina Overby of Burlington and brothers, Robert (Alesha) Bates of Mebane and Warren (Joyce) Bates of Burlington; mother-in-law, Mary Myers of the home. She was preceded in death by her parents, D. Lynn and Vickie Graae Bates.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 4:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:45-3:45 pm prior to the service and other times at the home.
