Vickie Brown

Burlington - Vickie Lynn Ray "Nana" Brown, 64, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017. She was born in Alamance County on January 21, 1953 to the late Ernest Walter Ray and Virginia Purgason Ray.

Vickie was a former employee with Annedeen Hosiery for 25 years but then she retired after 16 years with JR Tobacco and was currently employed with Burchwood Management Properties. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed. Nana's unconditional love touched everyone she met.

Vickie is survived by her daughters, Mary Katherine Galdamez and Michelle Godfrey (Vinson Graves); her grandchildren that she adored, Brittany Brown, Anastasia Godfrey (Geraldo Poteat), Richard Brown, Katie-Maria Brown, Patrick Brown (Linda Clausey) and Brayden Graves; great grandchildren, Michael Brown and Ryan McKenzie Brown; her extended children, Carrie Guthrie, Christy and Michael Stewart and their children, Daniel, Hunter, Bryce, Walker and Erick; siblings, Gail Webster (Clyde), Susan Scott (Tommy), Ricky Ray (Lynette), Robin Ray (Larry), Wendy Hunley (Tommy), Kathy Lail and Lisa Carver (Red) and all her nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 4:00PM Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ervin Milton. At other times the family will be at either Michelle or Robin's homes.
