Vera Millis

Whitsett Vera Linke Gentile Millis, 88, passed away at her home Friday, May 30, 2014. She was born in Pittsfield, MA to the late Arthur William Linke and the late Lillian Allen Linke and was the wife to Daniel William Millis for 35 Years who survives. Vera was a homemaker. She enjoyed golf, snow skiing, Tai Chi and going to Curves. Survivors other than her husband of the home includes daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Mark Areno of Julian; step daughter, Marianne Millis; sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas Gentile of Hampton, MA and Gary and Elaine Gentile of Pittsfield, MA; step son and spouse, Daniel and Leah Millis of Fairmount City, PA; grandchildren, Brandy Areno, Benjamin Areno, Kristie Gentile, Matthew Gentile, Marc Gentile and Kevin Gentile; step grandchildren, David Millis, Joshua Millis and Rachel Millis; three great grandchildren. The graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Gibsonville City Cemetery by Rev. Joanne Soliday. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30pm to 1:30pm Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory. At other times the family will be at the home.
