Vearl Traywick

Mrs. Vearl Loftin Traywick, age 92, of Burlington, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at her home after several weeks of failing health. Born in Lincoln County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Cromwell Loftin and the late Dasie Marie Berrier Loftin and was married to the late Paul Livingston Traywick, Jr., who died in 1994. Vearl was a career homemaker and had a passion for caring for children, many of which have kept in contact with her after all these years. Mrs. Traywick is survived by her two daughters, Sheila Traywick Perry and husband, Ricky, of Graham and Tammy Traywick Ross and husband, Steve, of Burlington; a son, William Paul Traywick and wife, Margaret, of Hampstead, NC; four grandchildren, William Paul Traywick, Jr. and wife, Julie, Erica Litten, Jessica Pate and Ashlyn Colleen Ross; seven great grandchildren, Paisley, William, Kaleigh, Shannon, Hayden, Will and Chance; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three sisters; and a brother. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at St. Marks Church in the original sanctuary by Pastor Jarm Turner. The family will receive friends from 11:30 12:45 prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home of her daughter, Tammy Ross.
