Vance Smith

Snow Camp - Vance Ferrell Smith, 67, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 at Alamance Regional Medical surrounded by his family. He was born on July 6, 1949 in Alamance County to the late Richard Ferrell "Pete" Smith and Betty Young Nolf and was the husband to Linda Wyrick Smith of 48 years who survives.

Vance formerly was employed with Graham Dyeing and Finishing, Flynt Fabrics and Smith Draperies the family business. He was an avid Nascar Fan.

Survivors other than his wife, Linda include his daughter, Tina Smith and her partner, Jim Daughtrey; son, Chad Smith and wife, Andrea; grandchildren, Brittany Melkonian, Alysha Melkonian, Crystal Melkonian, Hannah Melkonian, Hunter McKenzie and Autumn Tran; great grandchildren, Shyan Williams, Conner Williams and Kadence Melkonian; sisters, Vicki Gilbert, Angie Gravitte, Terry Mueller and Sandy Sharpe; a brother, Richard Smith, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will be at the home.
