Vance Greeson

Vance D. Greeson, passed away Saturday, February 11th at Wesley Long Community Hospital. He was born November 14, 1933 in Guilford County, NC to the late Charles Gilmer and Susan Andrews Greeson. Vance served in the US Air Force and retired after twenty years of service. He was a member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ and loved to garden and watch NASCAR racing. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Greeson, Lisa (Charles) Vignes, Cindy Dickinson; son, Vance Dwayne Greeson; step-daughter, Tina Williams; step-sons, Michael (Beverly) Parker, Steven (Theresa) Parker; a brother, Hoy (Lorraine) Greeson; 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ by Rev. Kristin Gerner Vaughn and Rev. Lynne Hinton. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 9:30 - 10:45 prior to the service.
