TThomas Vuk

Burlington, NC Thomas "Tom" Allen Vuk, age 69 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at ARMC surrounded by his family. He was a born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was the husband of 20 Years to Nellie Annette Willard Vuk. Tom was employed with Sears Automotive Center for several years. He was formerly employed with Elon College and was instrumental in the development of their recycling program. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. Tom was a loving and devoted Christian husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Nellie Annette Willard Vuk of the home; daughters, Tammy Thompson and husband, Rodney of Charlotte; Tammy Kanupps and husband, Larry of Burlington, April Stadler and husband, Joel of Yanceyville and Teresa Welcher of Kernersville; sons, Brian Allen Vuk and wife, Brandy of Burlington and William Thomas Vuk and wife, Kathy of VA; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brother, Peter Vuk and wife, Lee of Philadelphia, PA and a sister, Judith Smith of Colorado Springs, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Johnny Brammer. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Baptist Temple by Dr. Donald R. Carter. The family will receive friends following the service at the church and other times at the home. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
