Tony Willard Eastwood, 70, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the Hospice Home. He was born September 3, 1942 in Alamance County to the late Jesse James and Mary Louise Hundley Eastwood and was married for 50 years to his beloved wife Etta Christine Smith Eastwood of the home. Willard was a member of Bible Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon and loved singing in the choir. He was a car enthusiast who loved working on cars, restoring cars and attending car shows. Willard retired from the N.C. Department of Corrections. He is survived by his beloved wife of the home; daughters, Lisa Eastwood Godwin and Teresa Ann James, both of Burlington; stepdaughter, Betty Christine Miller and husband, Wayne of Eden; grandchildren, devoted grandson, John Willard Horner, Robin Gonzalez and husband, Roberto, Christina Vasquez and husband, Eusorio and Amber "Bam-Bam" Myatt; six great grandchildren and brothers, Jesse Ronnie Eastwood and Donnie Lee Eastwood, both of Burlington. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Bible Baptist Church by Pastor Mark Aheron and Pastor Steve Pruitt with burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Saturday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
