Burlington - Tommy Lee Gregory, 48, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 3, 2016. A native of Caswell County, he was born March 20, 1969 to Herman Thomas "Tommy" Gregory and Barbara King Gregory and was engaged to Kimberly "Kim" Key of the home.
Tommy worked for nearly 24 years as an EMT, formerly serving Alamance County and most recently Chatham County. He enjoyed camping, riding his motorcycle and loved life, especially his children. Tommy was known to his uncles as "Jack" and his coworkers as "G". He was an exceptional paramedic, a great father and a dear friend to many. Tommy was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his fiancé, father, mother, children, Jacob Gregory and Jenna Gregory (mother, Sherri Walker), Airel Gregory and Kaitlyn Gregory (mother, Jackie Morgan); a twin sister, Tammy Cox and husband Pastor Craig Cox, his younger sister, Tracy Perkins and husband Pastor Chuck Perkins and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Herman H. and Dorothy R. Gregory; maternal grandparents, Alvis F and Margaret B. King and his uncles, Douglas Wayne Gregory, Henry Michael "Mike" Gregory and Peter Steven "Pete" Gregory.
A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by his brothers-in-law, Pastor Chuck Perkins and Pastor Craig Cox with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 on Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at his mother's home at 553 Kerr's Chapel Rd. in Burlington.
